Lemon Honey Chia Bliss Balls
I had a moment the other day, wondering how many bliss ball recipes there must be floating around the internet these days. Quite a few I’d like to think, but what’s one more to add to the mix? They’re great to have on hand for a quick snack and to keep those blood sugars and energy levels sustained.

Roasted Beetroot Broccoli and Green Bean Salad
The myth I love busting the most about healthy eating, is that salads are boring, tasteless ad un-fulfilling. But this, my friends, could not be further from the truth. Salads allow you to bring as much creativity to the plate as you like. Layering and combining different flavours, colours and textures is one way to expand your salad experience – and create something different and delicious. So that’s exactly what I did with this roasted Beetroot, Broccoli and Green Bean Salad. Firstly, the star of the salad – the crimson coloured cubes of earthy sweet beetroot, take this whole dish to another level. Not only in taste – but health…

Super Antioxidant Avocado Seed Smoothie
As we all know by now, avocados are one of the most delicious additions to any healthy diet. From smashed avo toast, to toppings on a colorful salad, or sneakily the main ingredient in chocolate mousse, this fruit has grown immensely in popularity over the last couple of years. But it’s the inner seed or ‘pit’ that seems to be getting more and more recognition lately for it’s surprisingly huge nutritional benefits. As if the creamy, smooth and delectable fruit wasn’t good enough, it’s center seed is actually a powerhouse of antioxidants all on it’s own. That’s where this Super Antioxidant Avocado Seed Smoothie comes into the limelight.

Moroccan Chickpea Wraps
So, my slight obsession with Cajun spice overflows into this post. I had to create something to accompany my delicious Cajun spiced hummus, and that’s where this Moroccan Chickpea Wrap recipe was born. Inspired by the spectacular Kris Carr and the Chickpea Crepe recipe from her mouth-watering Crazy Sexy Kitchen Cookbook (serious food porn for the eyes might I add), this simple chickpea wrap gives the traditional tortilla wrap a run for it’s money!

Apple Cinnamon Quinoa Porridge
Although we’re enveloped in this gorgeous sunny weather, it still can get a bit chilly in the early hours of the morning. There’s nothing better than a warm bowl of nourishing porridge to start the day with, warming the tum and giving you the sustained energy you need to do all the things you need to do before midday. This Apple Cinnamon Quinoa porridge will do just that! Fill you up and keep you going until your mid-morning snack, or even lunch! It consists of a handful of ingredients, and only takes a couple of minutes to make, which is a perfect combination for me!

Fennel and Brown Rice Salad
This fennel salad is so easy to throw together and would be a great idea to use up brown rice from the night before. I don’t know about you guys, but I’m ALWAYS cooking too much rice. Can never get the quantity spot on, not that I’m complaining of course, or else I wouldn’t have come up with this tasty recipe! The fennel really gives a great, strong flavor to the dish, and compliments the surrounding flavors. With so many nutritional benefits, this is a pretty complete dish, and one that’ll tick all the boxes. Nutrition – Check! Flavor – Check! Quick & Easy – Check! If you’re a lover of…

Banana Millet Porrdige
If you hadn’t already noticed, I’m a massive fan of porridge. This vegan Banana Millet Porridge recipe definitely hits the spot! There’s nothing quite so comforting as a warm, delicious bowl of porridge on chilly winters mornings, and boy! have we had a few of those here in Nelson, NZ. Opening the curtains to see the heavy snow capped mountains in the distance is my que to get the stove on and get cracking with a bowl of nourishing porridge. My previous porridge post was Breakfast Banana Oats which is a delicious and satisfying recipe, but due to the gluten content on oats, I don’t get into the habit of eating…

They are low in carbs and are totally guilt free. A bonus is that they are so easy to make, so no excuses for this healthy chip alternative.
