Governors Bay Foreshore Track Walk
I’ve been wanting to start a series on the blog sharing some of nature walks that I love, in and around the city. When we moved to Christchurch, I immediately began researching all the tracks close to me to explore, and this Governors Bay Foreshore Track was one of them. So, one morning, I packed up my camera and took a drive to see what I could find.

Travel – Kaikoura, New Zealand
For the recent long weekend, we decided to take a road trip to our good friends in Christchurch, via the coastal route passed Kaikoura. We spent a night in this quaint seaside village, and had a wonderful time exploring what it had to offer. Travelling New Zealand is one of our favourite things to do, and Kaikoura was superb!

Travel – Roadtrip to Queenstown and Fox Glacier
We recently headed off on a long weekend adventure to Queenstown and I thought I’d share it with you guys. We decided to leave for Christchurch on Thursday evening after work. We drove down as dusk was setting and the full moon peeped through the clouds. She was beautiful! I love the moon, and it felt like she was guiding us safely to our destination, popping up around every corner and mountain top sillhoette.

Pelorus Bridge Camping Adventure
While I love sharing my healthy recipes on the blog, I also like to share tidbits of my life including the beautiful places we adventure to. This week I wanted to share our recent camping adventure to Pelorus Bridge Scenic Reserve. Taking photographs of the delicious recipes created for this blog is so rewarding. However, I also have so much fun capturing the beauty of nature, especially in this magical country. For this getaway, I decided to bring the camera with and collect a couple of images of our various walks around the area. It was a glorious and hot summers day, and there was heaps of visitors at the…

My Highlights of 2017
A new year, and new blog post. I hope everyone has settled back into the swing of things and for those who made resolutions – I hope they’re going strong. Personally, I’ve never been one to set New Years Resolutions, but I have set a few habits, hopes, goals and dreams in place that I’d like to achieve this year. If it’s anything like 2017, I’m so excited!

The Healing Power of Nature
I am a firm believer in the healing power of nature. I have always loved being in nature, even from a little girl. Growing up on a farm meant endless adventures with my brother, exploring all that we could. From mud fights in the dam, to building forts in the pine forest, to family walks up the mountain. All of these experiences, and many more, became the foundation of my love for nature. The healing aspect of nature is one that continues to fascinate me, as more and more research shows us the efficacy that nature has on healing the mind, body and spirit.

Christchurch Adventure
I’ve been meaning to post this adventure for ages now! So I’m so glad it’s finally happening! Nick and I decided to take a trip to Christchurch for his birthday in the beginning of December last year. Keen and eager to explore more of this beautiful country, we packed our bags, arose bright and early and set off on our road trip adventure to the the renowned city of Christchurch.

Wainui Falls Adventure
This Valentines Day (well technically the day before), Nick and I decided to treat each other to an awesome experience, an adventure. I have been dying to visit a waterfall, so I did some googling and found Wainui Falls, in the renowned Abel Tasman National Park. Now Nick and I haven’t done much exploring in the Abel Tasman National Park yet, which is crazy (I know!) as it’s one of the main tourist attractions in the area. We’re just not really kitted out for tramping and camping just yet, but we’ll get there! So this walk was perfect as the drive there was roughly 2 hours from Nelson, and the walk…

Fuchsiadale Blueberries Adventure
I was scrolling through social media one morning, as you do, and I came across Nicola Galloway’s Instagram post on how she’d just visited Fuchsiadale Blueberries and picked a glorious amount of locally grown blueberries. I was so excited and instantly inspired to go on a berry picking bonanza!

Gardens of the World Adventure
We were hankering for a little adventure, one that was not too far away, but still beautiful and invigorating. We racked our brains (and Google) and decided on Gardens of the World in Hope. As it’s Spring and flowers are in bloom all over, these gardens were sure to have some beautiful images for us to enjoy and capture.
