Pukka Cleanse Herbal Tea Review

This is such a stunning product, I had to do a review on it! From the packaging, to the smell when you open a tea sachet, to the first sip, it is just simply wonderful!

I like to start each day with a soothing cup of tea. A warm cup of herbal tea tends to hit the spot! Whether it be green tea, licorice tea, or any herbal blend tea, I find that the soothing flavors of the tea gently nudge my organs into action. As the ingredients are generally super detoxifying, I know my liver is grateful.

Lately I have been having this delicious Pukka Cleanse herbal tea, and am absolutely loving it!

Pukka is a UK based company that specializes in organic herbal teas, supplements and more. “Pukka’s family of Teas and Organic Wellbeing are all firmly rooted in the principles of organic farming.”* Aswell as being organic, they are also Fair Trade marked which guarantees that a product has been produced and traded in an ethical manner.

In addition to this they are also Fair Wild. “The FairWild Foundation are an international organisation that aim to provide a worldwide framework for implementing a sustainable, fair and value-added management and trading system for wild-collected natural ingredients and products.”*

Just having a look at their website inspires me! So much information about sustainable growth of amazing herbs, and such effort is put into all aspects of their company. This is defninelty a company that I want to support for many years to come!

So, back to the tasty Cleanse tea. It was a choice between three boxes on the shelf, and of course this one won, party because of appearance alone. It’s packaging is just simply stunning! Just looking at give me a sense of calmness. Beautiful!

The ingredients of this tea are ideal for anyone who is wanting a gentle detox. This tea helps not to only leave your body glowing in the inside, but radiating through your skin.

Ingredients

  • Aloe Vera (digestive aid)
  • Dandelion (awesome herb for liver support)
  • Fennel (soothing support for digestive system)
  • Licorice (antiviral, anti fungal, antibacterial, antioxidant)
  • Nettle (stimulates the lymph system to boost immunity)
  • Peppermint (relief against indigestion)

All these ingredients are going to help stimulate the liver into detox mode, and aid the detoxification process. They’ll also give support to the digestive system and help stimulate the lymphatic system, which is the mode of transport for toxins out of the body.

It’s flavors all combine beautifully! It is soothing and subtle and I definitely feel ‘clean’ after drinking it. I prefer to drink this first thing in the morning, although at night, after dinner, it is also great!

        Thank you for your review and comment. I agree with you. I had never heard of this tea until I went to GoVita health food shop to buy a facial cream. I bought turmeric and green tea and loving drinking these tea bags. It is just fantastic I found this. While I am trying to find out what pukka is, I saw your review here. I am a coffee lover but I might become a pukka tea lover.

    Thank you for your review! I’ve had one cup of this tea so far and I love it. One question, do you drink it everyday until the box is finished or do you just drink a cup as needed when you’re feeling like you need a little cleanse? Thanks!

    Dear Taryn,

    I love your blog and I have really been enjoying Pukka Cleanse Tea. Have you ever tried Triple Leaf cleanse tea? That is my favorite for its positive effects but the taste of Pukka wins, hands down. It would be good to do a comparison of a few different detox teas.

    I’ve had this tea in my cupboard for about 2 years and only tried it this evening, I will give my review after a few weeks otherwise i like the taste and how it clears my blocked hay fever nose!

    I love this. I tend to have it on an evening before bed and it has had an effect on my regularity in the mornings!
    Just wondering what is the best time. I enjoy my normal tea first thing in the morning so would prefer it not to be then!

    I have used the Pukka Cleanse tea for two weeks every morning.
    For years I have been concerned about bodily water retention, particularly in my legs, which often are very swollen by the end if the day.
    Since drinking a daily cup of the tea first thing in the morning, after two weeks I am amazed at the improvement in the shape of my previously very bloated legs.

    I was recommended the pukka tea from a friend as i have a fatty liver and always complaining of bloating
    i need to lose weight just wanting to know if this tea is good for weight loss if so how many cups per day should i be drinking

      Hi Tania,

      Thanks for your comment. I would recommend 2-3 cups of the cleanse tea per day, along with moderate exercise and an eating plan that supports liver detox and liver health. I am however, not a healthcare professional – so always do check with your GP if you have any concerns.
