Cashew Vegan Cream Cheese

A super easy vegan cream cheese recipe from the Mad Millie Vegan Cheese Kit. Deliciously smooth and perfect on your favorite healthy cracker!

  • 1 Cup Raw Cashew Nuts (Soaked overnight in water)
  • 1/2 Cup Water 1/2
  • 1 Tsp Cheese Salt (Included in the kit)
  • 1/4 Tsp Citric Acid (Included in the kit)
  • 2 TBS Yeast Flakes or Nutritional Yeast (Included in the kit)(But I used some of my own too)


  1. Soak the cashew nuts in a glass bowl of water overnight.

  2. Drain the nuts and rinse with water.

  3. Place nuts into a blender or food processor and add the remaining ingredients. I used a Nutribullet to do this.

  4. Blend until the mixture is fully combined and smooth

  5. Spoon the cream cheese mixture onto the cheese cloth, bring the corners of the cheesecloth together and tie together. Allow this to drain overnight by hanging over a bowl of some sort to catch the drainage.

  6. Scoop mixture into an airtight glass jar and store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
