When I was still in South Africa, my best friends bought me one for my birthday and I used it nearly every week. Now that I’ve managed to get my hands on one again (thanks my love 😉 and awesome 1-day.com deals) I’ve been creating Zucchini noodles and ‘noodling’ all week! 

I think it’s such a great way to get more nutrient dense raw vegetables into your diet. Granted you can cook the noodles to give more of a pasta ‘feel’, but eating them raw is just as great, if not better!  Continue reading

My heart is ever so happy when I can get my grubby little paws on delicious Medjool dates, but when not, the regular cheaper dates are just as good! They’re such a versatile ingredient, and can be used in savory and sweet dishes and desserts.

Our lives are busy, and without even realizing it, they are super fast paced. Think about it – where the hell did July go?? In a blink it was gone! So, time fly’s by so quickly, we really need to try and make the most of every moment. It’s been a chilly last couple of days here at the bottom of the world (New Zealand), with some areas reaching record lows of -20degrees celcius! Here in Nelson, it’s also been cold, but thank goodness not -20 cold! It’s difficult to stay on top of your health in winter, nourishing your body with foods that help it to thrive through the cold snaps.
