I am so excited about this blog post and recipe! It’s really one that has inspired me and these Fudgy Chocolate Chickpea Squares are one of many recipe I aspire to make that are wholesomely balanced. What I mean by that is that they contain carbohydrates, plant protein and healthy fats.

Copy of Recipes (7)I was recently invited to speak at Revolution – Women Empowering Women, which was a charity event in Nelson. The event was in aid of raising funds for the wonderful Whole Lotta Life foundation which was founded by Kristine Paterson in 2013. This foundation aims to provide those diagnosed with cancer between the ages of 20-45yrs a community filled with knowledge, guidance, hope and support.

It aims to give people what they need – a community with support and access to information that’s related to them specifically. This foundation raises funds for retreats where inspiration flows and hope is restored. It’s such a great cause and it was such an honor to be involved. Continue reading

Fudgy Date Balls

Healthy living can be really easy, if you learn to plan ahead. An important factor in a healthy clean diet is meal planning. You should be having 5-6 meals in a day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner (medium sized servings of each, dinner being the lightest), and healthy snacks in between.

Why? In order to have balanced sugar levels, without any spikes and surges, low-GI healthy clean meals and healthy snacks help to keep your sugar and energy levels plateaued throughout the day.
