Anxiety. Irritability. Panic. Anger. Fear. These are just a few of the symptoms of stress that creep up on us so deviously, and they can be so damn hard to avoid! In this day and age, life is so busy and fast paced that stress has become an all too common ‘ailment’.
With so many things going on, how can we slow down and focus on enjoying our lives, rather than rushing through them? Continue reading
I love herbal teas! I’ve been a ‘green-tea-kinda-gal’ for a while now but since moving to NZ, and discovering all the amazing herbal teas here, I’ve tried and tested a few. I love The Hollow’s selection of teas, and I know they’re of great quality. I especially love the Orange Rooibos they have, cooled into an ice tea with loads of fresh mint and fruit. So refreshing on a hot day!
There’s a few supermarket brand I love too, like the Plant Organic Female Balance tea bags. I really love the flavor of this, and especially enjoy it in the morning with my breakfast. But taking a few steps up in the ‘tea-ladder’ comes Artemis. “Artemis is New Zealand owned and operated and exists to harness the power of traditional plant medicine. Continue reading
This week I thought I’d do something a little different on the blog, by sharing some of the products I’ve been loving recently.
I always love reading other wellness bloggers and finding out what interesting goodies they’ve been using. I find it quite inspiring and really interesting so why not share what I’ve been using?
They range from tea to superfoods to self tan, and are all natural and eco-friendly. So grab a mug of tea, nestle down and get cosy. Continue reading
Following on from my previous post, here I’ll share some of my favorite food blogs to peruse and get inspiration from.
Now, if you’re anything like me, and your inbox is constantly overflowing with subscriptions from tonnes of other food bloggers, you’ll understand how exciting it is to browse the creations of other bloggers and picking up nuggets of inspiration along the way.

It is so very exciting to announce and release my new eBook, Fun Food, which has been such fun creating and designing. Fun Food was born when a lovely friend of mine asked for some help with her daughters diet.
As her daughter happens to be my (Wellness with Taryn’s) ‘biggest little fan’ I was instantly inspired and excited to share my knowledge in a format that would hopefully be easy enough for her to grasp. It’s pages are colorful and vibrant which I hope would be enticing for her little eyes.
I’ve been meaning to write this post for ages! I LOVE reading about other bloggers and their favorite blogs, so I though why not share mine.
Scrolling through other sites that are full of mouth watering recipes (most of which are aligned with my way of eating), bright and vibrant photographs that instantly inspire me and the thoughtfully written posts that allow the reader to be immersed into a twined tale of where, when and how a recipe was created. I just love it! Continue reading
It’s the festive time of year again, and (as usual) I cannot believe how quickly this past year has gone! I celebrated my 1 year anniversary of living in New Zealand at the end of last month, and I cannot believe how quickly the time has flown by! It has been amazing to say the least, and I am loving this beautiful country and all it has to offer! Continue reading
It is absolutely mind boggling when you sit down and actually think about all the chemicals we are exposed to each and every day. Our cosmetics alone are laden with them, let alone the other household and environmental chemicals we come in to contact with on a daily basis. Now I’m not here to preach and tell you to throw out all your cosmetics, but I am here just to enlighten you with the effects of some of these carcinogens that lurk in our cosmetic ingredients lists.
Most of them you can’t even pronounce! Like BUTYLATED HYDROXYTOLUENE! What a mouthful! This nasty little bugger is an anti-oxidant. It slows down the rate at which product ingredients change in color. Continue reading
Your skin is the largest organ in your body. And these days it’s the one average woman is exposed to over 200 chemicals, just from what they’re putting on their skin. Having qualified as a Professional Makeup Artist, I learnt a lot about the skin, and how it works. Over the years I have become more aware of what I put on my skin, and have opted for a more natural skin care regime. I want to share with you my top 5 tips to nourish your skin, leaving it feeling soft and looking amazing. Continue reading
